Husband of airline crash victim and Lebanese Prime Minister discussed Israeli Mossad explosive devices

On October 19, 2009, the web site of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri published an account of a meeting between Saad Hariri and the new French ambassador to Lebanon Denis Pietton. Hariri's father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was killed on February 14, 2005, by a remotely-detonated car bomb explosion previously reported by WMR to have been carried out by Mossad and a U.S. intelligence team --possibly associated with the CIA contractor Blackwater based on reports that the mercenary firm employed a number of assassins in the Middle East and South Asia.

At the meeting with Pietton, Hariri complained that Israel was violating UN Security Council Resolution 1701 by "implanting espionage devices and then detonating them, and stressed that the international community should take the necessary actions to put an end to this breach." Pietton's wife, Marla Sanchez Pietton, a Cuban-American, died on board Ethiopian Airlines flight 409 on January 25 after taking off from Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport and bound for Addis Ababa.

After the car bomb explosion that killed Rafik Hariri, the United Nations attempted, with tremendous prodding from the Bush administration and the Jerusalem regime, to pin the blame on Syria. That attempt at running up a "false flag" for the attack eventually failed.

On October 24, 2006, WMR reported: "A senior French DGSE -- Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure-- intelligence officer has told WMR that Lebanon's ex-Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was killed in a car bombing arranged by Israel's Mossad . . . According to the DGSE officer, Israel and its American backers wanted to blame Syria for the assassination of the popular Lebanese leader in order to blame Syria for the attack thus forcing the popular Lebanese revolt that saw the withdrawal of Syrian forces. That left Lebanon defenseless for the 'Clean Break' attack launched by Israel, with US support, against Hezbollah and Lebanon's infrastructure. WMR was one of the first to report Israeli and American involvement in the assassination of Hariri, as well as those of Elie Hobeika, George Hawi, and other Lebanese politicians."

WMR has learned from knowledgeable intelligence sources that the actual team that planted the bomb in Beirut that killed Rafik Hariri included Ethiopian Falasha Jewish Mossad agents who were smuggled into Lebanon posing as Ethiopian Coptic Christians visiting from Addis Ababa. That part of the operation was carried out by the Mossad station in Addis Ababa. A number of Ethiopians work in Lebanon as housekeepers and maids and their presence in the country rarely sparks any suspicions.
